What is squint (strabismus)?
Squint, or strabismus, is a condition where both eyes do not align in the same direction. One eye may turn inward, outward, upward, or downward while the other focuses correctly.
Can squint be treated without surgery?
Yes. Some cases can be corrected with glasses, patching, prism lenses, or vision therapy. Surgery is recommended only when non-surgical methods are not sufficient.
At what age should squint be treated?
Squint can be treated at any age, but early treatment—especially in children—is crucial to prevent lazy eye (amblyopia) and to support healthy visual development.
Will the squint come back after surgery?
